I Am Taking Antibacterial Eardrops And When I Put Them

I am taking antibacterial eardrops and when I put them in my left ear they eventually make their way into my throat (both my eardrums were perforated) which makes sense. When I put them in my right ear though, some gets into my eye through my ear via the nasolacrimal duct perhaps? It causes my eye to burn and I'm wondering if this is safe for my eye. I'm using a 0.3% Ofloxacin 5 drops in each ear 2x a day.
