I Am Unable To Lose Weight Despite Many Efforts And

I am unable to lose weight despite many efforts and my upper abdomen seems to be getting larger instead of smaller, why would this be happening? I've had my thyroid check and evidently that's ok. I just had some blood work for my Free T3 and Free T4 to be checked and don't have the results yet. I do have a rapid heart beat, so this is why I thought hormone/thyroid related.
