I Had 2 PE And Pneumonia About 7 Years Ago.

I had 2 PE and pneumonia about 7 years ago. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. I was in so much pain even after I left. I had to be on blood thinners and Norco for years. I went back often to my doctor who gave me steroids for the pain..inflammation and told me i had pleurisy. After many years im still on morphine and I don't know what to do. Im afraid to see a specialist who may try to tell me my pain is in my head. My other doctor said it was heart burn when I described the slight burning feeling I have in my throat along with the massive pain. It feels like some one took a bat to my ribs. After all these years I had hoped to heal on my own. No luck. Can you possibly tell me what it might be? Im scared and I feel like no one believes me :(
