Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a lap nisson with a full wrap as I had a hiatal hernia the physician felt would block food from entering my stomach, extremely severe acid relux that caused erosion in the mid esophagus in December 2014. The past 6 - 8 months I am experiencing periodic problems with food not getting into my stomach again, and chronic pain in my stomach again & esophagus (can spread across my chest& sometimes into my jaw) that has lasted over a week or so. I have not had any reflux issues since the surgery & only heartburn 3 times in the last 4 or so months of which Milk of Mag took care of immediately. I had 2 endoscopys months prior to the surgery in 2014 within 5 weeks of each other & that physican stated he"stretched" the esophagus which did help for a short time. What may be happening now? I have made an appointment with a gastroenterologist but that's not until March. What can I do for the pain right now?
