I Had An Extremely Wobbly Baby Tooth, Although It Was

I had an extremely wobbly baby tooth, although it was hanging on by quite a bit. I pulled it out, but when i did i noticed that the piece of gum/flesh/skin it had been holding onto was still there, portruding out of my gum and it was bleeding. Now two days later it has stopped bleeding but it extremely sensitive, painful on touch, and rather a large lump. It is almost like another tooth, except it is a painful lump of flesh. Sorry for gruesome description. How to remove or encourage said lump to die off?
