I Had Hip Pinning For Fumer Break About 1 Year

I had hip pinning for fumer break about 1 year and 7 months ago. I still get soreness across where the leg bends or down in the muscle. Why would this be like this after all that time. I like to stay active. If I got the pins removed how long would it take to get better again?
