I Had The 2 Back Teeth On The Top Left

I had the 2 back teeth on the top left side of my mouth (8 and 7) extracted today, the dentist said to avoid pressure from sucking, like a straw for example, but I'm feeling pressure on the extraction site every time I swallow, that's just with water. I haven't tried eating yet and I'm wondering if it's safe to? Will the pressure from swallowing cause problems? I was thinking about having chicken noodle soup
