I Had The Flu And Developed A Middle Ear Infection

I had the flu and developed a middle ear infection about a week later. Terribly painful experience. I am on Levofloxacin and using Neomycin and Polymyxin B Sulfates and hydrocortisone ear drops for the past 2 days. My ear is filled with white pus. You can see it without using any instruments. Is that normal? Do the drops work with all that pus in my ears? Should I go back to the doctor?
