Hi! rohan,
Welcome To HealthcareMagic forum,
Psoriasis is a chronic disease ,it can persist for long, but it can be kept completely under control by good medicines .In allopathy several medicines are available ,right from oral medicines to topical creams to
light therapy to injectable preparations.Treatment depends upon the severity and extent of disease.
As far as yellow discharge is concerned ,i think it must be some secondary infection as in psoriasis patient tends to get lot of cuts which might get infected. Otherwise in psoriasis one doesn't get yellow discharge, but I hope that your diagnosis of psoriasis is correct. You can take oral antibiotic for that. And its not cancer either.
If correct treatment of psoriasis is not taken and that too in time ,then it can lead to erthroderma (exfoliation ) ,which is an emergency condition.Long term untreated psoriasis can also lead to arthritis ,nail involvement ,
scalp psoriasis. So I would suggest you to take proper treatment from a
dermatologist only.
Treatment options are as follows:
Oral medicines like
methotrexate,cyclosporin,acetretin,mycofenalate mofetil etc.
Creams like topical steroids, tazarotene, vit d3 derivatives etc.
Phototherapy - PUVA & NB-UVB (latest & very effective).
Biologics (latest injectable preparation).
These are few to name.
So please take proper treatment and don't neglect it.
regards,
Dr.chawda
