Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

A bump on your head for a while, that is hard and firm might be a cyst arising from your scalp. It may or may not be arising from the skull. If it has been present for a long time and is slowly growing, then it must be a benign lesion. In benign firm lesion, they can be osteoma, epidermoid cyst or dermoid cyst.

I would suggest you to consult a neurosurgeon and get a CT scan done if necessary. Most likely it is not a brain tumor and CT scan will tell if it needs to be removed.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the query
It sounds like a fibroma to me. I could have helped u if u had uploaded a pic and shared the link.
Get yourself examined by a surgeon. If it is not growing in size, changing color then forget about it.
An FNAC might be required to prove the diagnosis

Hi!
Welcome to HCM.First of all Brain tumours donot come out of the skull like that. Also they are associated with nausea, headache, fits etc..Which you donot seem to have.most likely it is an infection since the area of skin around the ear is tight and any small lesion can cause pain. Please see a doctor to checkup thoruoghly as to what the lesion could be.Take care.
