I Have A Knot Formed On Left Side Of Neck Inspite Of Using Antibiotics
i woke up about two weeks ago feeling like mucus in my throat. went to dr and was treated wit antibotics. now throat feel tight at the bottom, no trouble swollowing or breathing ,now a small knot has formed on left side of neck and my gums have pain after starting on predinsone

! Knot of left side of neck is nothing but enlarged lymph nodes. They enlarge when thrre is infection. Once the infection refuces , size and pain both reduces. Even it foesnt reduce not yo worry.
Steroid treatment taken on prolonged badis can cause gum paon swelling snd evdn bleeding. So do consult doctor and take treatment.

the small knot is likely to be an infected lymphnode and the focus is likely to be in your throat or gingiva. You may need another course of antibiotics and for this you should meet your doctor.
