I Have A New Cast (the Second One) That Was

I have a new cast (the second one) that was put on December 6 to treat a broken wrist caused by FOOSH on November 19. The breaks did not require surgery. I got along well with the cast that was on the first two weeks. This cast is tight and very uncomfortable and is causing numbness, tingling and discoloration of my thumb and fingers (feels like cast is hitting a nerve at the base of my thumb), even keeping my arm elevated as much as possible. I can manage at my job as a legal assistant during the day but nights are difficult. It this "normal" and I need to get used to it until cast is removed on January 3, or should I call my doctor about having it recast? Thanks for your time. Kimberli
