I Have A Sound Similar Someone Holding A Rubber Bad

I have a sound similar someone holding a rubber bad and "strumming" one of the bands. It's only in one ear and it reaembles water in my ear. I do not wax in my ear and I don't think I have actually gotten water in my ear. It has been going on for several days now. It's a bit uncfortabless but in no means is it painful. It happens when I open my jaw and when I touch the cartridge part of the (visual) ear. It is ever so slightly (for lack of a better description) sore when I pull on my ear or put my finger in my ear (I was checking to make sure I still didn't have wax). I was told to try a decongestant but don't want to take medicine if it's not necessary. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
