I Have A Stage One Pressure Sore At The Base

I have a stage one pressure sore at the base of my spine. After making every effort to avoid pressure on the area it is only 50 percent better after 5 months. Ben-gay takes out the burning sting for a short time. My doc gave me meloxiam for pain - which has serious side effects so I have avoided using it. Is there some topical ointment that might help the healing? Is there a specialist for this malady?
