I Have Been Having A Pain In My Back On

I have been having a pain in my back on the left side,,,for the past almost 2 hours. The first one was a strong shooting pain in the chest and back area. Since then I keep having an occasional shooting pain more in the back going from the middle of my back to my left shoulder. It's not constant just every so often. I don't seem to have any other symptoms and am wondering if it is anything to be concerned about ? I am 62 and over weight by about 40 lbs
