Hi Vineetha
Welcome to HCM
Read your prob, you have been suffering from weezhing n breathlessness n feel better after inhaling asthalin , it is asthema only , this is not due to cardiac prob. astema is a chronic prob you have to use inhelar continusoly, this is not completly cured, we can redused its intensity n frequency by taking inhalar n use spirometer, chest physiotherapy, n change our life style. it occure due to alleregen so get on blood test for food n enviormental allergy n keep yourself away from allergen.
after this trial you can reduse its intensity n frequency upto 90%.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic

You need to understand a few things about asthma. It is a chronic disease with no cure. Asthalin alone will not work. You will also require steroids in inhaler or tablet form to PREVENT further attacks. This should be very clear in your understanding. The steroids will reduce inflammation and prevent attacks. This way the frequency and severity of attacks will reduce drastically. Keep away from allergens like dust, pollution, pollen in garden and nearby. It is a cardiac problem if you are coughing up blood or pink sputum, swelling of feet also present. Not to worry. Once you understand you will be able to accept this disease and handle it's management by support of your Doctor and most of all yourself and loved ones.

Hi,
After having read your query, I suggest you visit a Chest Physician & get your Chest Xray, spirometry & peripheral smear for eosinophils done. Accordingly your treatment needs to be optimised as per the severity of airway obstruction.

Dear Ms.Vineetha,
Since your problem of wheezing and breathlessness is from childhood and you have been getting relief by using inhalers,it appears to be chronic brochial asthma.Try a combination inhaler like Aerocort 2-3 times a day alongwith Tab.Montek LC/Montair once daily. After you get relief you may continue with Montek-LC and Foracort 400 inhaler 1 puff daily. If you still do not get relief, consult a chest physcian on this site.Altenately, you may try ayurvedic pankaja kasturi powder as per instruction given with box.

hi,
thanks for query
Asthma:is the common chronic inflammatory disease of the airways characterized by variable and recurring symptoms, reversible airflow obstruction, and bronchospasm. Symptoms include wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, and shortness of breath. Asthma is clinically classified according to the frequency of symptoms, forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), and peak expiratory flow rate. Asthma may also be classified as atopic (extrinsic) or non-atopic (intrinsic).
