I Have Constant Headaches And Chronic Back Pain. Had Meningitis.
i had meningitis (they called it viral/spinal) twice that i know of recently, and once believed by my mother when i was young. i have constant headaches now and chronic back pain. what can i do for treatment and are my chances of getting it again high?

Anybody can get meningitis irrespective of previous history of it. Previous history will increase the chances though. You need a thorough evaluation

the headache can be due to inflammation, or adhesions or due to any condition causing pain. It is impor the right diagnosis and hence a thorough neurological examination and a mri wil help to identify the cause for the same. Also you have to be ruled out for subacute inflammation or infection usually diagnosed by csf analysis. If the symptoms worsen please call your emergency number, else consult a neurilogist as early as possible. I hope i have answered your query. Take care
