Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have just developed toe nunmbness, and intermitant tingleing and pressure in the foot, sometimes painful to walk ! I had a knee trauma (skiing accident) and am waiting to get surgery for ACL Recon and meniscal tear! It occoured about 10 weeks ago, and have been doing strenghthening exercises for surgery, but now that my muscles feel sort of strong again, this numbness has come along ! dont know if it is related or could be from sciatica (have had lower back problems before) what do you think ? Rik
hello rikpisa,
numbness, tingling and pain on walking is called claudication. it can be due to neuropathy or due to peripheral vascular disease.
it may be related to your trauma. however it needs to be confirmed by clinical tests.
i would advise you to consult your physician in this regard and get a good clinical examination done before coming to a diagnosis.
this will help to start you on a right treatment.
i hope i have answered your query.
take care and have a speedy recovery
