I Have Discomfort That Started On The Top Of Left

I have discomfort that started on the top of left foot, just below the toes and gradually radiated up the outside of my leg to my hip/buttock. It's not really painful, just uncomfortable, like a very low level electric current. No injury that I know of, not diabetic, have very occasionally had restless leg syndrome. The feeling is constant, but worse when I am trying to sleep at night.
