I Have Had A Cough For Almost 2 Weeks. Felt

I have had a cough for almost 2 weeks. Felt a little better yesterday and then got hit again. I'm coughing up yellow stuff. I coughed so much my head hurts and my whole back. I've been taking cough conjestion meds and they have sometimes loosened it up so I can cough stuff up. I have not had a fever. I was at the doctor last Wednesday and he said my lungs sounded clear. I'm wondering if I should continue to ride it out.
