I Have Had A Severe Headpain Behind My Left Ear,it

I have had a severe headpain behind my left ear,it was very shsarp and hot lasted for a few minutes then a few minutes later come back again as i was about to stand up. The pain knocked me back on the sofa. Both lots of pain lasted only a few minutes. I have only just got over pneumonia and i am concerned that there maybe a connection somehow. I have been suffering with bad headaches for a few months now ,but usually they can last a good few hours , I'm not sure now if i should speak to my doctor about this.
