I Have Just Had A MRI And My MD Is

I have just had a MRI and my MD is referring me to a neurologist not an orthopedic doctor. They said I have something wrong with c5 and c6. Something about Spurs interfering with blood flow not sure exactly. I have had severe pain down my right arm my finger tips are numb and pain in shoulder and shoulder blade for 12 days. Can you give me any idea of what I could be looking at? Should I get a second opinion? I am 65 years old in pretty good shape I'm diabetic however have kept under control fon6 years with only oral medication and diet and exercises. What can you help me with her?
