I Have Problem Of Itchy Throat, Coughing And Phelgm Had A Trace Of Blood

itchy throat, coughing and phelgm had a trace of blood and phelgm was yellow Need some help...don't have med insurance. I just started coughing a day ago and my throat is itchy. When I woke up today my voice sounded strained and when I coughed out phelgm, there wasa little trace of blood. Should I be very concerned? Just took some dayquil cold/flu med

anytime you see blood is cause for concern because its coming from inside somewhere..you should see a doctor even if its in the ER or some free clinic. You could have anything from the gastro, mouth, or throat, or lung area. Even Pneumonia there are a number of possible causes because it can be coming from any of these areas.

Hello.Welcome to HCM forum.It looks like URTI (upper respiratory tract infection).Consult a doctor,start a proper antibiotic course and get an X- ray chest done.Although trace of blood in phlegm could be just because of forceful coughing..Thanks and good luck.
