I Have Scabies, I Am Using Permethrin

I have scabies . i ve been told a cream called permetharin or something like that is the sure way but its not helping me it just bothers it more. i m on the verge of crying and breaking down. is there anything i can use at home to get rid of this now. PLEASE, PLEASE. i cant take this anymore.

Hi, Welcome to Healthcare magic,

Scabies is a contagious disease caused by a parasite that lives just under the skin. I hope you applied it from the neck down, left on overnight, & then washed it off & repeated the same in seven days. The cream that you are using is good, but just the cream is not adequate. You must also get rid of the contamination on clothes & bedsheet which have been used anytime during the three days before treatment. Make sure you wash your clothes etc with hot water, dry it under sun & iron your clothes before wearing it.

You must also make sure that everyone in the family/close personel contacts are also treated or else you could get reinfected from them.

There is an oral drug- Ivermectin available. May be your dermatologist will prescribe it if you vivit him again.
