I Have Sebborheic Dermatitis On My Scalp And My Head

I have sebborheic dermatitis on my scalp and my head tends to stay itchy and flaky whether I wash my hair every day or three times a week. I'm so frustrated with the flakes being so visible in my hair. I'm considering shaving my head and wearing a wig during the day and taking it off at night and whenever I'm home. I feel like it would make it easier to treat the dermatitis. If it makes me comfortable, should I go through with it. My mom doesn't want me to because she thinks it's unnecessary, but I think it is the only thing that will make me comfortable and not so itchy all the time. I'm a girl and my mom thinks it will be a regrettable decision for me.
