I Have Stopped Using Bendroflumethiazide 2.3 Mg, Will I Feel Better?

Hi I had two doses of 2.3 mg of bendroflumethiazide and had shortness of breath and a racing heart. Have been advised by doctor to stop taking it and try to change my lifestyle and get rechecked every other day for bllod pressure. It is 2 days since I stopped taking it when will I feel better?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

It is difficult to say why this drug was stopped. If the doctor thinks it was responsible for your symptoms, then for sure you would feel better. However, when a drug causes side effects, it is advised to change to a different drug and not stopping the treatment entirely. High blood pressure is controlled and not cured. It would be just a matter of time for it to get out of hands. Monitoring would be very guiding on this.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.
