I Have Taken Meds For Acid Reflux For Almost 50

I have taken meds for acid reflux for almost 50 years. I've taken prilosec/omeprasole for about 30 years. I take 20mg once a day. I stopped taking it because of the recent news about dementia and kidney problems. I have been having problems with memory for about 10 years. I will be 70 in November. I have good health, and take no meds except the omeprasole and a sinus med sudogest, one pill a day as needed. What can I take for the acid reflux instead of a proton inhibitor?
