I Just Recieved My First Depo Shot, Please Help

I am 17 years old and i just recieved my first depo shot on friday. I was only about 2 days away from my period but the doctor said that was ok. I didnt tell her i was sexually active bc i dont like how it looks only being 17. Ive only been having sex for like 2 months and been extremely careful. She gave me a pregnancy test and it came back negative but i never got my period and its now sunday, but if i dont get it is there something wrong because i heard girls dont get there period after the shot. plus my doctor didnt warn me about any bad side effects but blood clots and ive noticed a bunch of women complaning online... please help

every woman is different and no period is fine. i was on the shot for 3 years and i had a period everyday for the first year then no period at all after that. but you have to remember to get it regular and on time. and still use a condom cuz the shot prevent std's

is it ok to get your first depo shot before your period and end up not getting your period??
