I Quit Smoking 2 1/2 Years Ago After Smoking For

I quit smoking 2 1/2 years ago after smoking for over 30years. As recently as about 3 months ago, the skin on my face has become very dry, peeling and in some areas red and burning. I used to have plenty of oil in my skin but now seems to have dried up. I have been using non scented moisturizing soap and cream everyday with no results. Is this possibly an adverse affect from quitting smoking and how should I treat it or should I go see my family Doctor?
