I Recently 3 Weeks Ago ,had Surgery For Umbilical Hernia

I recently 3 weeks ago ,had surgery for umbilical hernia repair lapro with mesh 9 days later entered er with groin pain hot sight at incision, and flank and lower abdomen pain severe.
I at this point have bad headache and chills rising to the base of the skull and down both legs low energy burning dry eyes inercocous fes was found and I did take antibiotics for 5 days. I'm not sure what is wrong my body is very different than before surgery. I feel that I do have some form of infection just not sure how to direct my reluctant surgeon to do further testing.
