I Smashed My Finger Thumb A Week Ago. I Completely

I smashed my finger thumb a week ago. I completely shut it in a truck door. It throbbed with pressure for two days until I poked it with a sterile needle to relieve pressure. It bled out and since then I have been squeezing it to empty out a clear yellowish fluid. Today I noticed that it was starting to smell bad. What is that? I clipped off three quarters of my thumb nail with no pain. Some of the flesh was purple and gooey.
