I Took The Oral Solution GaviLyte-c For A Colonoscopy. I

I took the oral solution GaviLyte-c for a colonoscopy. I was looking forward in getting it done to find out if there were any issues in my colon. In between on the first day I also had to take a liquid magnesium they prescribed as well. The second day a Saturday, I needed to finish the GaviLyte-c. I became very ill and was throwing up, dizzy, couldn't stand up because the dizziness was so severe, I had to crawl. I started shaking a bit, I was just feeling very ill. My husband said we need to go now for your appointment. I was on the floor throwing up/dry heaves (at that time nothing was coming out) in a bowl. I pushed myself to get up carrying the bowl with me out the door-I was so dizzy I felt like things were going around & around. We finally pulled up to the Outpatient building. I was just so week and dizzy that I couldn't even walk, so they came with a wheel chair. My symptoms got worst as my husband wheeled me to the colonoscopy department. By the time we got there I was shaking uncontrollably and I couldn't stop. Well, the Doctor ( Resident) had never seen a reaction like that before. So they sent me to ER, They didn't know what to do with me either. They brought in a Psychiatrist. They kept telling me to open my eyes because I had them closed. The reason being was because when I opened them it felt like my eyes were cross-eyed and was dizzy. I also had a hard time communicating, my tongue was extremely dry and was hanging out, according to what my husband told me. The Doctors came to the conclusion that I had a severe panic-attack. In the meantime blood tests showed that my potassium levels were extremely low, they had to give me two large potassium tablets and held me over for observation. They still recorded on my chart that it was a panic attack. I know it wasn't because I wasn't anxious at all about the procedure. I believe I had a very bad reaction to the Gavilyte-c and got extremely dehydrated. What do you think?
