I was diagnosed with shingles 12 days ago and started on valtrex along with a Solumedrol dose pack. I wa also prescribed clobetasol topical ointment. I finished all of the oral drugs with no adverse effects. However after using the ointment twice a day for 8 days I began to feel extremely tired, somewhat nauseated and my heart rate has increased. I have a-fib and have been doing well with the treatment for that until now. Is it possible that the steroid cream became systemic? And if so, how long until it clears?
