I Was On Benecar Hct 20/12.5 And Bystolic 5mg Once

I was on benecar hct 20/12.5 and bystolic 5mg once a day. Bp avg 150/80 Started going to VA they changed my meds to losartan 50 mg and metropolol 25 mg. blood pressure was out of control to 190/90 after about 5 days. So I went back on original meds bp was back in check 150/80. Saw doc again he said that the meds he prescribed will work to give them a chance and he increased losartan dosage to 100mg and metropolol to 50mg. Bp back up 190/90 after 7 days...scared I went back on original meds bp back down. What's wrong with this picture???is my new doctor capable and what do you suggest??? I'm 55 and worried more than he is I believe!
