I Was On Continuous Birth Control For 2 Years Due

I was on continuous birth control for 2 years due to endometriosis. I stopped taking it October 19 and experienced stringy egg white cervical mucus November 4th. I had abdominal cramping and lower back pain on November 9th-13th. I haven't gotten my period yet and took a hpt that was negative. My question is did the ewcm not indicate ovulation or is the hpt test a false negative? I believe that if I did ovulate that the most time between ovulation and period is 17 days is that correct?
