I Was So Nervous During My ECG. Will It Effect My Report?

Hi, I had an ECG (when they put these tabs on your for like 5 seconds) I thought it would be okay but it wasent. Im having an Echocardiogram on 6th feb, and im so nervous!! what will happen, what will they do?? And why is it nessasery for me to have this, I don't feel the doctor explained it clearly enough, he said he wont to look at my heart valves and chambers. Thanks in advance xx

An echocardiogram is where an ultrasound machine is used to look at the pumping action of your heart. It's the same machine used to look at unborn babies in pregnant women. The worst thing they do to you is smear that jelly stuff on your skin. :) They might be looking for something called mitral valve regurgitation, which can usually be diagnosed with an echocardiogram. I don't really know for sure, but you can always call your doctor if you have any questions. Good luck. :)
