I Was Told I Have Asthema But I Feel It

I was told I have asthema but I feel it may be COPD. I have been exposed as a child to cigarette smoke and have been exposed to black mold and asbestos at age 18. I am 47 now and have to use a nebulizer 3+ times a week now and still have a shortness of breath and cough up nasty stuff. what is the difference between asthema and COPD? I cannot afford to pay a fee, I am totally and permanently disabled.
