I Woke Up Yesterday Morning With Pain In My Left

I woke up yesterday morning with pain in my left buttocks, but it quickly moved to my left thigh - the front of the leg. I've taken Aleve and applied warm compress, but have gotten no relief. It doesn't hurt when I'm still, but when I begin walking, it's very painful.
