IS Clamp Syrup Safe For An Infant With Continued Cold, Cough And Fever?

Dear doctor, my 16 month old son has severely running nose,slight cough n fever about 101 degrees currently.His running nose hasn t stopped for about 7 days now n he has started fever since last 3 days. we gave calpol syp 3ml 4 times evry 6th hourly but the fever seems so occur in the evening and running nose is still persisting.Our pediac asked us 2 start with clamp syp.,is it an anti biotic n safe ??
