If A Part Of The Heart Becomes Dysfunctional, How Would It Affect The Rest Of The Body Functions?

a friend of mine had a stent put his his heart about 3 wks ago. he wasnt feeling well, went to a new dr. in Houston,tx. he had an appt yesterday and was told that the they needed to do suregery this am. the dr was going to try a ballon, if that didnt work i was told a part of his heart would die. what does that means. back up 1st, prior to this he had a staph infection and recv d 19 bags of antiobiodics in 3 days. he also has ebstein bar. could this staph infection have caused it to attack the weakest part of his body the heart . how will the dying part of the heart effect him?

HI
Well come to HCM
It is inadequate medical history given here, if the stent was placed then this could be block in coronary artery, after the stent, what was the complaint not given here, if he was advise for balloon then it is for dilatation, could be valve area, or another block in some artery or in same artery, history of infection is nothing to do with heart condition in relation with stent, dying part of heart could be in the sense of ischemia, hope this information helps, take care.
