having significant abdominal pain found to be associated with ovulation. tried the depo shot and that worked but i dont like the side effects. birth control pills are not a option. MD said hysterectomy is also an option. not sure what to do and if i decide on the hysterectomy should i get one or both ovaries removed the one on the right has a cyst.
If the pain is related to ovulation and it is advised surgery due to failing in all other treatments them ovaries should be removed. Both ovaries and the uterus too should be removed because ovulation happens in ovaries. I can suggest you rethink the conservative treatment with estroprogestative contraception pills which stop ovaries from ovulation.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
