In Which Stage Does Ovarian Cancer Spread To Abdominal Area?

what stage would ovarian cancer be that spread from the fallopian tubes to the abdominal area, please? approximately? stage 3 or 4? Is this considered a metastasized cancer? My80 year old relative had this 2 years ago. had chemo and radiation and shows no signs of disease on a recent Pet Scan. Yah!!

Ovarian malignancy is considered as stage 4 once distal metastases occur. Distal metastases include liver, lung, bones, abdomen ( intestine, lymphnodes) etc.
So in your case it is stage 4 ovarian cancer.
And yes, it is metastatic ovarian cancer.
It is inoperable. And chemotherapy is the only treatment for stage 4 ovarian malignancy.
