My daughter got her ears pierced almost a year ago. We went through one infection where she had the earring removed and went on antibiotics to clear up the infection, that was 8 months ago. That cleared up, and after a few tries with different earrings we finally found that surgical steel seemed to be working and cleared everything up. Her doctor also recommended getting another pair of earrings that you get when you pierce your ears and wearing them and cleaning her ears for six months to give the ears extra time to heal. All was going well, but tonight I noticed one ear was crusty, not swollen and not red, just crusty. We haven't removed the earrings and cleaned them, we spray the ears front and back with the cleaning solution from Claire's. What can we do to get this healed once and for all?
