Inflamed Sore, Red Pimple Behind The Ear, Minute Drops Of Blood And Clear Fluid Discharge. Taking Amoxicillin Capsules. Advice?
Inflamed, sore and red,( sebaceous cyst?) "pimple" behind right ear. I squeezed it to drain and relive the pressure/pain two days prior. It came back w/vengeance along w/swollen lymph node, right earlobe (mostly) along w/general area. I'm having to squeeze behind my ear to force drainage. Minute pieces of white pus mixed w/larger amounts of blood and progressively larger amounts of a clear fluid.
Mid fifties age and I've had these before though never to the point of my ear swelling. I have some extra 500mg Amoxicillin caps and took two/1000mg forty-five minutes ago. Over the weekend I'll continue w/1 500mg cap every 6-8 hrs. This script was originally for infected tooth. How long in days should I complete this antibiotic regiment?
may need for 10 days keep dry as this is sebacious cyst apply antibiotic mixed with antiallergic ointment in area take anti inflamatory tabs to reduce swelling it can take 3 week or more to lymphnode to come to normal size
