Injury In Forearm, Taken Tetanus, Now Redness, Itching,swelling And Slight Numbness. Using Betadine. How To Get Relief?

i had an injury in my forearm 8 days back,took tetanus shot only after 24 hours but now there is redness,itching,swelling and slight numbness,i am using betadine lotion and taking ciplox from 2 days. is i am infected with tetanus ? i just don't remember when i had a tetanus shot, may be its 6 or 7 years back for sure. please tell me, how i can get relief ? if it is tetanus, what are the treatments? and if not please tell me the other causes.

Hello user,
I dont think you are infected with tetanus, as it presents with Headache, Jaw cramping Sudden, involuntary muscle tightening – often in the stomach (muscle spasms), Painful muscle stiffness all over the body,Trouble swallowing,Jerking or staring (seizures),Fever and sweating etc.

I can't surely tell the status of your wound without physically observing you, but i can surely tell that betadine is an awesome anti bacterial locally.And if you are feeling inflammation, than you can take antinflammatory drugs. If its a simple wound, it will heal in a week or two !!
