Intensely Itchy, Painful, Spreading Welps On Inner Thigh Near Groin. Sexually Active. Advice
I have a welps that that appeared on my inner thigh near my groin. It causes severe itching.I try not to scratch but the itching is very intense sometimes painful. it has spread from when it first started. these bumps have been on my body for at least 4 months now. I try to keep the itching under control with pointment and it helps for a little while. I can't find anything on the internet that explains to me what it is and I'm embarrassed to go to a doctor I am only sexually active with my husband.

Hi,
It seems that you are having fungal infection.
It may be tinea cruris or candidal intertrigo.
Perspiration,soap,excessive use of water, fitting clothes..etc may exacerbate the disease.
In both cases, antifungal drugs like ketoconazole,itraconzole or fluconazole with antihistaminics would be helpful.
Antifungal cream will reduce the infection.
Avoid soap bath, you may use dettol liquid for bath.
Improve immunity with immunobusters.
Blood tests shoud be done to rule out DM,HIV,anaemia or other internal diseases.
Avoid stress, worries and anxiety.
Have healthy food and proper sleep.
You will be having good results.
Still, you may consult dermatologist.
