Intercourse During Period, Spotting, Bleeding, Pcos. Can I Get Pregnant From Precum?

my boyfriend and i had sex during my period. my period started on the 21st of april and it stopped on the 25 when it should normally stop on the 28th. i was wondering if precum can get you pregnant. also a week after we had sex i started spotting which lead to heavy bleeding. i dont understand that part.. the last time i went to my doctor she told me that i have polycystic ovary syndrome. is that the reason why?

Hi and thanks for the query,
the chances of getting pregnant during this period would be relatively slim. However, in some rare cases, it really does happens. Periods in females of reproductive age, especially young females before 25 years could a few times present wit some modifications. environmental factors like stress, especially emotional could alter the normal menstrual cycle by causing some delays or changing the frequency and intensity of flow.
In your case it is unlikely for you to get pregnant, but not completely impossible. You just need to be patient and do a proper pregnancy test in case you fail to experience a normal menstrual flow at the expected time.
thanks and best regards,

Hello,
Your LMP was from 21st to 25th of April, 3 days shorter than the usual. You had sex during your periods. You had another sex 1 week later, after that you got spotting followed by heavy bleeding. You are already suffering from PCOS.
Usually PCOS is associated with irregular periods. You have not furnished the details of any medications for PCOS. Even a forcible coitus or an existing ulcer in vagina can also produce profound bleeding. The Precum is emitted from the male urethra due to arousal - It is primarily produced by the bulbourethral glands along with mucus secreting urethral glands. The spermatazoa presence is proved in precum but in various concentration. So pregnancy do not occur because of precum alone.
Now the important treatment you need is for PCOS.
Best wishes

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Precum is not likely to cause a pregnancy specially while you were having your periods which is a comparatively safer period to have sex. You need to wait for your next periods to be very sure of the diagnosis.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. You can consult me again directly through my profile URL http://bit.ly/Dr-Rakhi-Tayal
