Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a low grade fever off and on (@ 100 degrees), for the past few days. I am aches, but nothing else. My head is clear, I have energy, and I feel generally fine other than the aches and sensitive skin the fever brings. Could it be that I am just not letting my body rest appropriately, or am I actually sick. Can fatigue cause these symptoms? 30 y/o female. No major medical issues other than a hectic life.
All the symptoms you are presenting are indicative of a systemic bacteria, viral or parasitic infection.
To determine this, you will require your blood to be tested (CBC, thick blood film, widal test, CRP, ESR etc) and urine analysis to rule out any possible infectious causes.
Fatigue can come about as a result of the fever which is due to the infection. Stress can hardly lead to recurrent low grade fever.
So I suggest you go visit a doctor who can run those tests and provide you with treatment.
Hope this helps
Dr. Bernard
