Intermittent Nasal Sores Near The Nostrils. Tested Positive For Citrobacter Koseri. No Help From Antibiotics. Suggestions?
I have had nasal sores on the entrances to my nostrils intermittently for the past 2-3 years and I cant seem to get rid of them. These usually come on when I have sinus drainage and/or am ill with a cold or the flu , but they can also occur when I am not ill. It was cultured a year and a half ago and was positive only for Citrobacter koseri. I dont know how I got this and I have taken antiobiotics to try to get rid of it, but I am allergic to Sulfa, which is what the sensitivity test recommended. I have also been trying to conceive and am wondering if this C. koseri could be a reason I am having multiple early miscarriages/chemical pregnancies since it is harmful to unborn babies.
you have rhino sinusitis with vestibulitis. You should use neosporin oint ment as local application, antibiotic after culture sensitivity of discharge, blood sugar, CT nose and PNS for further treatment plan.
take care
