I am 14 days late, which is expected as i am irregular, i am only 16 years of age and have been sexually active since the age of 13. However my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex on thursday 11 days ago and by then i was 3 days late, and then started using protection a couple of days later, he did not ejaculate inside me, however earlier today we did foreplay and i started getting a stomach ache which was very severe and i was very tired, this lasted 3 to 4 hours, not too sure what to think, can anyone help me?
Hi, Thanks for the query. As you had unprotected intercourse, if ovulation occurred at that period, there is possibility of pregnancy. But just by symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion regarding pregnancy. Pain after intercourse can occur due to causes like postoperative tear, pelvic infection etc. So you once consult gynecologist, get examined to rule out these possibilities. Then with her advice, you can go for ultrasound. Ultrasound helps in detecting signs of pregnancy, pelvic infection and other causes of delayed periods like poly cystic ovary disease etc. If there are signs of infection, you may need one course of antibiotics. Both the partners to be treated simultaneously to prevent future cross infections. Take care.
